Welcome to the BAC!

Please read the following information carefully to be prepared for swim season!

Current Summer Practices –

In order to improve and progress, swimmers are encouraged to attend as many practices as possible. Coach Jonathan's group and the middle/senior high school group may meet on the beach at Beach Blvd, near the Jax Bch lifeguard station from 7:00am - 8:30am, Mon, Wed, Fri. If you are in middle school or younger, you must have a parent attend with you. We will be ocean swimming (a few blocks), running back, and doing some dryland exercises. Bring a water bottle, towel for dryland, and wear an appropriate swim suit for swimming and exercise. We will be following social distancing measures. Please be sure that your child is mature enough to ocean swim.

BAC will be returning to the Fletcher High School Pool when it becomes available to us.  Practices days and times will be addressed once we receive the pool Coronavirus Social Mandates of the pool use pertaining to number of swimmers allowed, social distancing, etc.  We will keep you posted as we have the pool mandates.

Bathing Suits –

Our team color is black, therefore all BAC swimmers who are participating in swim meets are required to wear black suits. They can have a logo on them but please make sure a black suit is worn at all meets. For practices, the swimmer may wear any color suit, but is required to wear a BAC cap (if applicable).

Shirts –

Each BAC swimmer will receive a BAC shirt as a part of their registration and team fees.  Shirts for parents, siblings and grandparents will also be available for purchase. We encourage our BAC families to wear their shirts to swim meets to show team support.

Additional Caps –

BAC swimmers participating in swim meets can purchase a BAC cap for $10. You will have the opportunity to purchase swim caps with your swimmers last name printed on it as well. The current cost for this option is $25.00 for two name printed caps.

Parents –

As a parent, your role is to encourage your swimmer as they grow in the sport of swimming, while also respecting and honoring coaching staff. Please be positive and uplifting as we create a team culture of family here at BAC.

Volunteering –

Swim meets and competitions cannot take place without our parents and volunteers. There are many different opportunities and ways for you to get involved and volunteer all year long. It is expected that all parents participate and volunteer in some way, whether it be at meets/competitions or in other ways. Before each swim meet you will have an opportunity to sign up and work an event.

Swim meets –

You will need to sign your swimmer up for each meet that you would like them to participate in. There will be sign-up sheets at the pool deck prior to the meet (2-3 weeks prior) for you to sign and select events.

Heat sheets –

Heat sheets will be available for purchase at each swim meet. They are anywhere from $2 to $10 depending on the meet.
